2. Crisis organization for radiological and nuclear emergencies

A crisis organization is activated to manage any radiological emergency likely to affect public health, whatever its origin (accidents occurring in nuclear facilities, during transport, or resulting from malicious or terrorist acts, etc.) The scale of this organization is adapted to the nature of the event. For facilities presenting the greatest risks, it is based on emergency plans describing a priori the organization and resources to be implemented and deployed at local and, if necessary, national level. The present document mainly describes this organization; however, paragraph 3.5
