2. Nuclear line measurements
2.1 Inventory of nuclear measurement methods
It is not possible to describe all the nuclear measurements used in reprocessing plants; certain measurements, such as the monitoring of water in transport towers, the measurement of krypton at the outlet of dissolvers, the measurement of contamination in discharge water, etc., will not be described.
We will therefore only describe the most common ones for the three main products: Pu, U, PF (fission products), with the following classification:
leak measurements (low concentration) ;
concentration measurements ;
deposit measures.
Leakage measurement...

Nuclear line measurements
Economic data
Only three nations are currently engaged in the implementation of reprocessing and associated MOX:
In France, Cogema operates two commercial light-water fuel reprocessing plants, UP3 and UP2 800, with a unit capacity of 800 t/year, at La Hague, and a natural uranium fuel reprocessing plant at Marcoule, which will cease production at the end of 1997;
