14. Conclusion

As we have seen throughout this text, there is an impressive variety of flat products involving multiple metals and alloys. There are two reasons for this.

Firstly, forming sheet metal by deformation (bending, embossing, stamping, etc.) is generally faster and much less material-intensive than material removal. This is an economic advantage that justifies the use of flat products.

Secondly, users' wish to be satisfied with a small number of shades with multiple possibilities proved utopian. So the path followed was to develop ultra-specialized products, finely tuned to each use, hence the multiplicity of shades.
