3.1 Which technologies for which materials?
This section summarizes the possible uses of each technology, depending on the material of the surface to be polished: glass, plastic, infrared material, mirror material.
A "typical" but not exhaustive sample of materials is selected. For each of these materials, the most suitable technology, a possible technology and technologies not currently suitable are indicated in the table 2 .
