2.1 Area of use
Internal broaches are designed to produce all shapes of non-tapered holes, such as those shown in figure 2 . Whether pushed or pulled, the broach passes through the part via a pre-bored hole: reamed, drilled or simply rough cast or stamped. The cross-section obtained corresponds to the impression left by the pin.
