
3. Problems of using adhesive bonding in industrial production
In the industrial manufacture of bonded assemblies, the main constraints imposed by bonding are of three types: constraints linked to the functioning of the part to be bonded (so-called functional constraints), those linked to the industrial process for applying and processing the adhesive (so-called implementation constraints) and health, safety and environmental constraints that restrict or prohibit the use of the product or a component.
3.1 Functional constraints
To be effective, a bonding system must withstand service stresses with a defined degree of safety.
