The overall dynamic behavior of a multi-ribbed belt drive needs to be predicted and controlled in order to assess and anticipate belt life and possible vibration problems.
3.1 Speeds, torques, inertia
Drive pulley rotation speeds are generally given and, from the pulleys' pitch radii, it's easy to determine the rotation speed of each pulley, assuming that the belt doesn't slip on the pulleys.
