Let's take the example of figure 4 where the packing consists of two parallel discs spaced h apart. We'll assume that a fluid flows from the outer radius where p e = 1 MPa to the inner radius where p i = 0.1 MPa. We'll make the assumption that the flow rate is small and therefore the phase change occurs discretely. Let us denote p sat the vaporization pressure or saturation vapor pressure of the fluid....
