1. Influence of chemical structure on physico-chemical properties

Without wishing to go into an exhaustive examination of this vast subject, it is worth trying to summarize as clearly as possible the influence of structural variables on the properties of the most important oils in practice, before studying each type of hydraulic fluid in detail. The easiest way to do this is to consider these properties in turn, from the point of view of their dependence on these variables.
