1. Response of on-board equipment to the effects of underwater explosions
-
Understanding the dynamic behavior of submerged structures subjected to pressure loads is of major importance to the shipbuilding and offshore engineering industries. Among the possible causes of pressure loads, underwater explosions (UNDEX/Under Water Explosion) are a major concern, as this situation refers to safety and operability issues for underwater vehicles (e.g. submarines) and various other offshore structures (e.g. surface military vessels, drilling platforms, cargo, etc.).
