Based on Baker's work , a synthesis for classifying two-phase mixing patterns is given in figure 2 for basic configurations of horizontal pipes with a circular cross-section. The different mixing structures are roughly delimited by zones corresponding to different values of coefficients for liquid (abscissa) and gas (ordinate).
