detachment; separation

Phenomenon that occurs when the main flow no longer adheres to the wall.

diffuser; vane diffuser

Divergent part of a pipe, generally designed to convert kinetic energy into pressure energy.

steady flow

Flow in which the various characteristics (pressure, temperature, speed, etc.) have a constant value over time.

A flow caused by the organization of wall disbonds, which can take on considerable importance in relation to the main flow.
