To meet the challenges involved in designing a nanodrone with vibrating wings, the OVMI team has developed a number of innovative concepts that break with those used in existing prototypes, with the aim of maximizing energy efficiency, and minimizing empty mass and manufacturing costs with a view to single-use applications.
4.1 Resonance
By definition, working at the resonance of a mechanical system not only enables optimum exchange between kinetic and potential energy, but also amplifies motion far beyond that obtained at other frequencies. Figure
