1. Products to be recycled

These are end-of-life products or manufacturing waste. In terms of manufactured products, production in France in 2014 was estimated at 370,000 t for tires and 340,000 t for industrial rubber. .

The situation is very different depending on the type of product.

1.1 End-of-life tires

End-of-life tires are sorted and a certain number of carcasses are suitable for retreading, either in their country of origin or, more often, after export.
