4. Impact on the environment

In terms of environmental impact, the two most obvious aspects of the growing production of hydrogen fuel relate negatively on the one hand to the release of large quantities of CO 2 , in connection with existing hydrogen production processes, which needs to be addressed, and, positively on the other, to the opportunities offered by many new processes in favor of an accelerated transition between fossil and renewable energies.
