Abscisic acid; Acide abscissique

A substance produced by plants that acts like a plant hormone, and is involved in plant adaptation to stress conditions, as well as in seed development.

Evapotranspiration potentielle (ETP); Potential evapotranspiration

Quantity of water that would be evaporated and transpired by a healthy, well-nourished crop, completely covering the soil and having sufficient water available.

Flux de sève brute; Raw sap flow

Raw sap compensates for water lost through leaf transpiration. If this compensation is insufficient, water reserves in the leaves or underlying tissues are used.
