3.1 Transfer and biodegradation equations

In gas bioscrubbing plants, the water loaded to a greater or lesser extent with biomass is mobile and circulates through a system of reactors (liquid gas transfer and biodegradation) . In bioscrubbers, it is generally assumed that the two operations of absorption and biodegradation are carried out separately. Transfer of pollutants from the gas phase to the liquid phase takes place in the scrubber column, while biodegradation essentially takes place in the fully mixed activated sludge regeneration...
