4. Management reviews
This is the final stage in what we might call the first loop of safety management.
Site management organizes formal, scheduled meetings, generally on an annual basis or shorter if necessary, to analyze the safety (HSE) performance achieved over the past period, review the progress of action plans (corrective actions, safety studies, administrative requests, etc.) and compare the performance achieved with the objectives set. In the light of certain information, and to ensure compliance with regulations, new corrective actions may be decided upon, new objectives set, and it may be verified that the resources put in place are consistent with and sufficient for the site's safety policy. Finally, management can review or redefine its commitment.
