1.1 Control of gas phase composition outside the flammable range
The first step in preventing gas explosions in industry is to avoid designing processes with flammable premixed gas phases. In other words, when designing processes, it is necessary to assess the composition of gas phases and their flammability, and then provide the means to eliminate the presence of flammable gas phases at this stage.
