3. Verification tests defined in harmonized reference standards
Whatever the type of equipment, device performance verification tests fall into four categories. These are the verification tests :
physiological" characteristics;
the physical characteristics of the equipment;
overall efficiency performance;
practical performance tests.
As all the tests are described in the product standards or in the corresponding test standards, we will limit ourselves here to citing the main ones, explaining their justification where appropriate.
