3. Main substantive changes in ISO 22000:2018

Of course, the point is not to list in detail every chapter or sub-chapter affected in one way or another by a substantive change. Rather, the aim is to get to the point and indicate what has really changed between this new 2018 version and the 2005 version of the standard.

A prerequisite for a step-by-step analysis of the new version is a clear understanding of the improvement "mechanism" induced by the management system, according to the standard. ISO 22000:2018 .

Figure 5 illustrates this new food safety management system model, where leadership is at the heart of this dynamic, like a "battery" providing the energy to set the PDCA concept in motion....
