1.1 Context: industrial plant modernization plan
Between 2007 and 2009, the loss of containment at Ambès (January 11, 2007), Donges (March 16, 2008) and La Plaine de la Crau (August 7, 2009), with significant environmental consequences, highlighted the problem of aging facilities. Table 1 presents the causes and consequences associated with these three losses of containment.
