3. Advanced use: architecture modifications
3.1 Wiring crossings
One of the solutions proposed by the reliability team to improve system reliability was to cross-connect the radiating elements and the digital boards. Conventionally, all the REs in a given assembly are connected to the same common board. The idea here is to modify the connections so that at most one RE in an assembly is connected to a single card. The two configurations considered are shown in figure 13 .
