6. Health & Safety

Certain products used in the composites industry require special attention in terms of health and safety.

We therefore recommend that you read the "Safety Data Sheets" for these products carefully, particularly with regard to transport, storage, handling and disposal.

This applies not only to unsaturated polyester resins and gel coats, but also to all the products required for their processing and cleaning: initiators (peroxides), gas pedals (amines, cobalt salts), inhibitors, acetone, etc.

6.1 Resins and gel-coats

Standard resins and gel-coats are usually labeled with the reactive solvent they contain: usually styrene.
