2. The materials
The materials used in injection moulding processes come in a variety of forms:
powdered state, for thermosetting resins such as phenoplasts (bakelite, formophenolic resin), for certain thermoplastics (polyvinyl chloride, for example) and for silicones;
granules, for thermoplastics ;
pasty state, for fiber-reinforced unsaturated polyester resins used in the BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) process.

either in bulk in tankers and transferred to silos located near the processing plants;
