1. Preparation of polybismaleimides
1.1 Definition
Polybismaleimide differs from linear polyimides in its ability to crosslink thanks to terminal telechelic functions. It is obtained by polymerizing bismaleimide and aromatic diamines. Thanks to its particular structure, bismaleimide is a molecule of choice that can be used both as a functional monomer and as a crosslinking agent.
