1. Preparation

Polyaryletherketones (PAEKs) are a family of semi-crystalline thermoplastics based on highly stable phenyl compounds.

1.1 Structure of polyaryletherketones

PAEKs consist of aromatic rings joined by an oxygen atom (ether) and/or a carbonyl group (ketone) (figure 1 ).
