3. Implementation
3.1 General
PAEK is processed by injection molding or extrusion. PAEK granules absorb moisture, and even a moisture content of 0.05% can lead to defects in parts. For this reason, the granules must be dried before processing: 4 h drying at 130-160°C in a vacuum oven is generally sufficient. It is advisable to process the product while still hot after drying.
