2. Implementation
Fluorocarbon elastomers need to be formulated by adding vulcanizing agents, acid acceptors, fillers, processing agents and others. Cross-linking is achieved by the action of heat.
There are a number of different industrial models:
Formulation can be carried out by processors;
Formulation can be carried out by producers who supply premixes for processing by moulding, extrusion, etc. ;
for some products that are particularly difficult to process, the producer takes care of formulation, shaping and vulcanization to deliver finished parts.

Table 2 gives some examples of trade names and producers of fluoro- and perfluorocarbon elastomers.
