Software tools
Commercial finite element calculation codes (ABAQUS, ANSYS...) do not perform fatigue calculations, but calculate for a given number of cycles. The material characteristics then correspond to the residual properties for the number of cycles concerned. The question then remains: for which cycles is it wise to perform these calculations?
