4. Environmental problems

Compliance with health and safety regulations is identical to that required of personnel working on conventional nickel plating and/or cobalt plating facilities. As far as effluents are concerned, the treatment methods adopted are those used to neutralize residual water loaded with metallic salts. The rinsing tank located after the composite bath enables entrained elements or particles (nickel, cobalt, particles, etc.) to be recovered. These can then be automatically re-injected into the original bath. In this way, evaporation losses are compensated for .
