1. Preparation

ABS are obtained by the copolymerization of styrene (the main comonomer), butadiene and acrylonitrile, optionally with a fourth comonomer imparting special properties 1.1 . The proportions of the various monomers vary from one ABS to another. Examples of compositions are given in 1.4 .
