4. Preventive maintenance information processing

4.1 Treatment features

As indicated in the standard NF EN 13306 Condition-based preventive maintenance includes "assessment of physical conditions, analysis and any resulting maintenance actions. The assessment of the physical conditions of equipment is based on the collection and processing of equipment information". The main aim of this processing is to detect potential failures as early as possible, and to diagnose them in order to decide whether to implement one or more methods for monitoring degradation.
