1. Paper and cardboard packaging manufacturing
Paper is made up of an infinite number of microscopic fibers, perfectly intertwined and bound together. Wood, whatever its species, is made up of cellulose fibers amalgamated together by a thermoplastic substance called lignin. The cellulose fibers are extracted by mechanical or chemical means, then suspended in a large quantity of water to form what is known as paper pulp. The manufacture of paper and cardboard comprises three successive phases: pulp preparation, paper manufacture, with or without additional treatments, and preparation for delivery and sale of paper and cardboard (cutting, winding, etc.).
