5. Ecodesign legal rules

The legal ecodesign requirements of Directive 94/62 of December 20, 1994 were transposed by Decree 98-638 of July 20, 1998, which reproduces the provisions of the Directive down to the last comma, unless otherwise indicated below. This decree has been codified in articles R543-42 et seq. of the Environment Code, and in article R543-73 for criminal fines.
