4. Packaging conditions of use

The service life of packaging depends essentially on the conditions in which the following operations are carried out:

  • handling and storage of empty packaging;

  • carrying out product packaging operations, in particular filling and closing;

  • storage and handling conditions for full packs.

Metal packaging has the advantage of being less sensitive to ageing than other types of packaging, as it is not biodegradable, and is not permeable to gaseous agents.
