6. Optical properties

The optical properties of 100% nanocellulose films, or nanocomposites, have been studied mainly for MFC. These properties may be important for packaging applications. Visible light transmittance is usually determined using a UV-visible spectrometer. Measurements are typically taken in the 200-1,000 nm wavelength range.
