Numerous initiatives within the EDF Group have been launched around the "connected man" to take advantage of the benefits offered by new communication technologies (smart sensors, connected glasses, communicating clothing, low-energy telecoms network, etc.). In addition to clear financial gains, the benefits include greater reactivity, improved safety by limiting travel to a minimum, and a halving of exposure to risks (asbestos, ionizing radiation, etc.).
For decades, the EDF Group's teams of experts have been moving from site to site and worksite to worksite in France and abroad for construction operations, commissioning tests, maintenance and repair surveys, and decommissioning operations.
