12. Conclusion

The aim of this encyclopaedic dossier was to provide an overview of the main principles of knowledge management in an ever-changing environment, where organizations are faced with new challenges and new tools. We wanted to highlight the importance of new technologies in this context, as well as the need to review certain paradigms in the management of an organization's information system.

In this way, information systems must no longer be seen as facilitators, but as levers that initiate innovation and optimization activities. Moreover, a central element that caught our attention was the place of the employee within the IS, his or her taking control of information via the new web tools, and the importance of considering his or her business needs in any IT-related project.
