1. Patent: the key to technology

Every technology is necessarily supported by a set of mechanical parts, linking systems, controls, new materials, applications of scientific findings in the most diverse fields, etc. Since it is legitimate for an inventor or a company to protect this intellectual capital (or, if this is not the case, for lack of financial resources or if it is not possible to determine the various parts of a system as, for example, tire rubbers or tricks of the trade are often necessary), patents are a necessity (except in France with the Soleau envelope , which enables the description of an invention to be filed with the INPI and, whatever happens, the possibility of exploiting it on national territory).
