Technology platforms emerged in the last decades of the 20th century.
At that time, the concern was to pool resources and skills that were beyond the reach of small and medium-sized businesses, in new technologies whose applications were already present in large companies. We had to help them take the plunge and make available to their customers technologies that the latter were beginning to master.
