A technology platform is a place that brings together resources (skills, hardware, software) concerning a breakthrough technology, i.e. a technology emerging in the industry and likely to be used in an industrial sector or, more rarely, in different sectors when it is a generic technology applicable to several sectors.
This facility is dedicated to industrial companies that do not have the resources to make the technological leap that is vital to their future. In addition to the platform's staff and equipment, the site generally brings together stakeholders (companies wishing to use the technology in their products and/or services, or in their production equipment), technology developers, users, local authorities, industrial customers...
