3. Process diagram
The process diagram follows on from the block diagram. It symbolically represents all process equipment, including storage, with all main connection lines and utility supplies.
It is drawn up by a process engineer during the process development phase, and finalized during the plant design phase. Its realization requires the participation of chemists, biochemists, physical-chemists, product designers, as well as chemical engineering and engineering specialists... in order to integrate all the elements of industrial feasibility, such as safety, environment, corrosion, instrumentation, mechanics...
