2. Why embark on an eco-design project?
There are many reasons for companies to embark on an eco-design project:
if the company's strategy is aimed at complying with changing regulations, industry habits or the influence of its customers and users; in this case, the company is highly dependent on external pressure and adopts a reactive rather than anticipatory stance;
if the company has integrated eco-design into its strategy, whether as a lever for innovation (on products, company organization, marketing, business model, etc.) or because of the manager's environmental conviction, the motivations are internal to the company; this posture is characterized by anticipation and proactivity.
