5. Staff training
The ADR lays down the principle of special training for operators involved in the transport of dangerous goods by road. Introduced in France in 1979 for drivers, Chapter 1.3 of the ADR extends this training requirement to all personnel involved in the transport of dangerous goods. This includes personnel working for shippers in charge of loading/unloading operations, vehicle operators and even forwarding agents.
