4.1 Phase diagram

The structure of a two-phase gas-solid flow in a pipe varies according to the average transport concentration and gas velocity.

Let's consider a horizontal pipe with a circular cross-section through which a stream of gas flows. It should be noted that, in pneumatic handling applications, flows take place in a turbulent regime, even at the lowest speeds.
