ABSTRACT

The understanding and management of risks linked to the Supply Chain (chaîne logistique in French) are still little taken into account in companies. As a consequence, their prevention and treatment are rarely anticipated. However, reducing the vulnerability of the chain allows for developing significantly the performances of the company. This improvement can be carried out via two actions: identifying-reducing risks and managing residual risks. In this article, the case of Samixco highlights the actions offered within the context a company and thus stresses the necessity of applying the principles of anticipation and prevention to the Supply Chain activities.
