4. Outlook
The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) is affecting many areas of working life, such as the stock markets, and is also playing an important role in the development of many areas of science, such as computer science and mathematics. Of course, developments are also underway with the implementation of AI in computational chemistry. Several terms are associated with AI, such as machine learning and deep learning.
At the level of mesoscopic polymer simulation, developments using AI are mainly applied to coarse-grained methods. The time scales offered by these methods are essential for probing certain properties (e.g. viscosity) of matter between the microscopic and macroscopic levels. Zhang et al.
