Defining precision agriculture is complex, in the sense that some specialists tend to present it as a scientific discipline, while others prefer to see it as a farm management strategy in its own right. This is why it is sometimes so difficult for certain players (scientists, farmers, etc.) to position themselves clearly in this field.
