2. Technical description of the innovation

2.1 Nanostructured magnesium hydride

Magnesium hydride MgH 2 , with its quadratic rutile-type structure , is one of the lightest reversible hydrides, with a mass capacity of 7.6%, corresponding to an energy density of 2.4 kWh/kg. Magnesium is also abundant, inexpensive, recyclable and biocompatible. It is therefore a material of choice for reversible hydrogen storage at moderate pressure.
